Chianti is a picturesque wine region located in Tuscany. The region covers a vast area that includes the provinces of Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Pistoia, and Prato. Chianti is renowned for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and world-class wines. The region is home to numerous medieval hilltop towns, rolling hills covered with vineyards, and olive groves. The landscape is characterized by a mild Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, which provides excellent conditions for growing grapes. Chianti is also a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to sample the local wine, enjoy the scenery and immerse themselves in the Italian way of life.

Chianti is one of the most famous wine regions in the world, and wine production in the area dates back to the 13th century. The region is particularly known for its production of Chianti Classico, a red wine made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, along with other local varieties. The production of Chianti wines is regulated by strict rules that govern the types of grapes used, the winemaking process, and the aging requirements. In addition to Chianti Classico, the area also produces other red and white wines, including Chianti Rufina, Chianti Colli Senesi, and Vin Santo. The region has a long and rich history, and winemaking has played a significant role in the local economy and culture for centuries. Today, the Chianti area is home to numerous wineries, ranging from small family-owned vineyards to large commercial operations, all dedicated to producing the highest quality wines.

The winery is located just 1.5 km from a small country town where all necessary services are available, however, and just under an hour from Florence where there is also a convenient international airport.
